Rest in Eternal peace Ms Gumbs you were a wonderful teacher who stayed in memory for all these years and always.
I am a past student of St. Roses 1970-1975, known then as Marge Berthier now Marge Frampton-Benskin. Mtrs Gumbs-Oliveira was a devoted teacher and I admired her finesse, glamour and etiquette. Condolence to the families and friends. May she rest in God's comforting arms, until she joins Him in eternity.
Our sincerest condolences to the Gumbs and Oliviere families. May she rest in eternal peace
Mrs. Gumbs-Oliveira was a true gem, one of the classiest ladies I ever had the pleasure of meeting. I will always remember her serenity, wisdom and tireless devotion to her students.
It was a great honour and pleasure to have worked with Mrs Oliveira at then Diego Martin Junior Secondary School
She was a wonderful lady of tremendous dignity , kindness, patience and class and I will be forever grateful for the mentorship she would have provided me at that time
May God grant her eternal peace and rest and may He comfort and bless her family and loved ones today and always
When I think of Ann, I think of the Gospel of John 15:13
Even when I struggled with my faults and mistakes, Ann always made me feel seen, precious and loved.
She never measured me by my faults, my failures, or mistakes. She always saw beyond all of that.
Ann always reminded me that I was worthy of love, dignity, and grace.
In your patience, your kindness, your acceptance, you helped me realize how I am precious to God.
I will carry that gift with me for the rest of my life.
Ann, your presence may no longer be with us, but what you planted in me will remain.
Every time I remember that I am loved despite my imperfections, a part of your legacy lives on.
Thank you for being such an important part of my life.
May you rest in peace, knowing that you were deeply loved—and that the love you gave continues to live in me.
Ann for many years you have been my guiding light more than a teacher but a good friend and confidant. Thank you for your love and kindness. I will always love you 🎉❤️ Alanna Gordon
A Tribute to Ms. Ann Oliveira
Ms. Ann Oliveira was more than a teacher to our son, Kyle. As she prepared him for SEA, she did far more than teach lessons and prepare him academically. She shared age-appropriate life lessons, encouraged him to believe in himself, and constantly propelled him toward greatness.
She saw potential in him and helped nurture it with patience, wisdom, discipline, and genuine care. The impact of a teacher like Ms. Oliveira goes far beyond examination results—it reaches into the life and character of the child.
Teachers like her seem to belong to a distant past, when teaching was not merely a profession but a calling. What a pity that such teachers are becoming increasingly rare.
Our family will always remember her with gratitude for the investment she made in Kyle and for the lasting impression she left on his life. To the family she fought a good fight and is now resting in Jesus. No more sorrow and pain. Cherist the memories. Deepest condolences.
I will miss you my dear friend. I looked forward to seeing you each time I came home. I confided in you and you were so supportive of my current journey. May you rest in eternal peace you strong woman of faith. Love always and always Gayle ❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
