In the tapestry of life, certain individuals shine brightly, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those they touch. Leo was one such remarkable soul. Not just an insurance agent, but a genuine friend and a beacon of wisdom, he stood by my family in times of need, guiding us with his extensive knowledge not only in insurance but also in real estate and investment.

Leo's approach was always characterized by his incredible responsiveness and thoughtful solutions, which alleviated our worries and instilled a sense of security. His quick responses to our requests demonstrated his unwavering commitment to his clients; he was always just a call away, ready to lend a helping hand.

I remember the day his sister-in-law and I were discussing coverage options for my nieces. She spoke highly of an agent she knew, and I confidently replied that no one could compare to my agent. It was a delightful surprise to learn that we were both referring to Mr. Nurse, highlighting just how intertwined our lives were through his exceptional service.

The news of Leo's passing has left me sad indeed. His daily messages of prayer and inspiration were comforting and will be missed. He was truly a wonderful person, warm-hearted and generous, whose legacy will continue to inspire. As we reflect on the joy he brought into our lives, let us also remember the love and bond he shared with his family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children, and the entire family during this challenging time.

Rest peacefully, my dear friend, Leo. May the Holy Spirit envelop your family in comfort and strength. Your kindness, guidance, and friendship will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.

Uncle Leo, I’m not quite sure where to begin. Growing up, you were always the dependable uncle, the one who in so many ways showed me how a man is supposed to be a husband and a father. I remember watching how you loved on Aunty, how you would always dance with her and still flirt after so many years of marriage. I remember thinking, I pray I find love like this one day.

I think about our road trips and Tobago with Papa, so many memories and so much love. Thank you for the memories and the love you gave so freely. You will never be forgotten. I’m so grateful for the time we shared this year, my liming buddy. I love you.

Mr. Nurse was an active member of our Neighbourhood group, sharing important information as well as commenting on posts. At Christmas time, he put smiles on our faces with his beautiful decorations. His love for plants was also evident, wetting them by bucket in the dry season and ensuring that weeds did not grow around them. We are ever so sorry that he has gone home. Rest in peace, Mr. Nurse and rest in the company of angels. My prayer is that your family would find comfort in the arms of the Lord.

Denis, better known as Leo, my brother. This is so difficult to write. You weren’t just my brother-in-law, you were my big brother and my friend. You were a good listener, an advisor, and you supported me when I needed it the most in my life. You always wished me well. As I’m writing this tribute, I never imagined I would have to do this at this time. It’s written with so much emotion and tears. Lord, help me.

I cherish the family times we all spent together at home and elsewhere. Cook ah pot, take ah drink, lol. Most times spontaneous or pre-arranged. The laughter, the tears we shed when our loved ones passed, and those celebrations, boy, will never be forgotten. You loved family. You loved music. You loved to dance, and you loved to dress. Always on point, neat, and well put together.

The cookouts and great times in Cedros, oh boy, that was another level of togetherness and enjoyment. I am so thankful that I was able to see you last September. However, I never imagined that I would be away at this time.

You will live in our hearts forever. You fought the good fight, you finished the race, and through it all you kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7. Fly high with the angels, Leo, because to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8.

Love you, my brother. I will miss your presence, your daily greetings, and our family time dearly. 🙏❤️❤️❤️

From your sister-in-law,

Shelley
